Scot has been CrossFitting for the past 4 years. Scot did his Level 1 CrossFit Certification in 2009, and completed the newer test section of the Certification in 2011.

Scot has always had an interest in sport and keeping fit. In his youth, Scot swam competitively, spending anywhere from 12 to 15 hours in the pool each week. Scot has always enjoued a challenge, whether it’s doing his first Half Marathon at the age of 12, or doing the 3 Peaks Challenge, 3 years in a row. It is the satisfaction of completing any challenge, that drives Scot, and that same motivation that makes the CrossFit method of training so attractive, to him.

Since starting CrossFit, Scot has competed in many of the CrossFit Competitions and developed an interest in the Olympic Lifts. These lifts are an integral part of CrossFit and they help to develop power, strength and speed. This interest developed and Scot joined the GoLift Weightlifting Club, where he attained sports specific coaching and a better understanding of the Olympic Lifts. Following this,  Scot completed the British Weightlifting Associations Assistant Coaches Course.
