WHAT IS THE INBODY MACHINE ????
Some of you will have used the Inbody Machine as part of the recent 800 Gram Challenge. For those who have not used this machine, the Inbody is one of the most accurate and advanced weighing and measuring Body Composition Analysers in the market today.
The Inbody scan describes weight more accurately than BMI. Body composition analysis can accurately show changes in fat mass, muscle mass, and body fat percentage. The InBody Test, a non-invasive body composition analysis that provides a detailed breakdown of your weight in terms of muscle, fat, and water on an InBody Result Sheet.
The InBody Test can take anywhere from 15-120 seconds, and we would recommend completing an InBody scan once a month.
Quick tips to prepare for your InBody Analysis
For the most accurate results we recommend following these preparation guidelines.
1 Do not eat for 3-4 hours before testing
2 Do not exercise for 6-12 hours before testing
3 Ensure access to both feet with removable footwear and socks.
4 Do not drink caffeine or alcohol on the day of your test and be well hydrated
5 Do not shower or sauna immediately prior to test
6 Avoid putting lotion on hands and feet before testing
7 Individuals with pacemakers or other electronic devices should not use the InBody
8 For women, avoid testing if you are pregnant or menstruating
9 Please have your exact height in cm ready for your analysis
